Mailing Lists for Community Radio Programmers

These lists are some that you may find useful. Always read a new list for a few days or weeks before jumping in. That way you'll understand the rules and the topics that people touch on.

In general terms when subscribing to any of these lists you want to keep the subject line of your email empty, and include only the sub info in the body. Some lists require you to respond before you are signed up.

And! Always keep the messages from the list that tell you how to unsubscribe. Sooner or later you'll need it.

RadioBoard.org An on-line message board for use by people involved with community radio. Register on-line at the RadioBoard site.
crtc An announce only list. Each day we check CRTC announcements, and forward those which are of interest to community radio people. Mostly the dates of scheduled hearings, and announcements of license approvals, but other occasional items that we feel you should know about. Subscribe by sending a BLANK email to:
crtc-subscribe@topica.com
Topica will automatically send you a confirmation message. Once you reply, you'll be added to your list.
C-media This is our announce only list previewing upcoming workshops and projects from community-media.com. We'll send you an occasional e-mail telling you about our latest projects, expecially training opportunities and performances. We also forward messages that we feel are of interest to people involved in non-commercial radio in Canada. This includes job postings, news items, and other items that seem relevant.
